The first floor of the library is home to multiple service desks and library resources. On the first floor you will find the:

The Circulation Desk assists with checking out and returning library materials that are borrowed from our collection.
Visit the Circulation Desk to:
Your SharkCard serves as your library card, and you must have it with you in order to check out materials.

With a swipe of your SharkCard or Alvin Sherman Library Card, you can take home more than our books. The Library of Things aims to be a diverse collection of everyday and unique items from studying materials to a poncho to keep you dry when Florida weather decides to keep you guessing. The Office of Innovation and Information Technology (OIIT) provides technology support to students, faculty, and staff. OIIT can assist with general technology questions, computer troubleshooting, wi-fi, and printing.
This area is also home to many classrooms.
OIIT provides virtual support through the Shark IT Service Center.
The Public & Community Services (PCS) area offers library materials and programming for all ages, including children, teens, and adults.

Librarians and library staff in this area can help recommend books that you might enjoy reading, assistance with downloading free e-books through the library, and K-12 resources for education students. They also offer a full calendar of events and programs for all ages.
The West End Ave. Deli is located behind the elevators on the first floor. It is part of NSU's dining system and accepts SharkCards, cash, and debit/credit card payments.
