Rule 16

Basic Citation Structure

Authors Full Name, Title of Article, vol. no. Abbreviation of Journal Name page no, pincite (year) (parenthetical).

Orin S. Kerr, Cross Enforcement of the Fourth Amendment, 132 Harv. L. Rev. 471, 495 (2018).

 

1. Author Names

For two authors, cite in the order in which they appear in the article. 

For more than two authors, use the first authors name followed by et. al. [small caps]

Institutional authors should be used and abbreviated according to rule 15.1(d)

2. Title

Cite the title as it appears on the title page, but capitalize according to rule 8.

3. Journal Name

The name of the journal should appear in small caps

It should be abbreviated according to tables T6, T10 and T13
