The Oceanographic Campus Library offers access to a KIC Book Edge Scanner for student scanning and photocopying needs. There is also a complimentary charging station adjacent to the scanner and surge protectors in every student study carrel.

An all-in-one Knowledge Information Center (KIC) was generously donated by Ann Porterfield in 2014 as part of a technology enhancement donation to the NSU Oceanographic Campus Library. This walk up scanning station and copy center is available for us in the library. This scanning station allows you to scan books right up to the edge without damaging them and to have access to a high end scanning option for papers and reports with a maximum scanning area of 17x11.8". The connected Automatic Document Feed (ADF) scanner also allows you to scan multiple pages rapidly. You can scan directly to USB drive, email, upload to cloud storage, upload using QR Code, or print to the printer in the library using your $75 Shark Funds allowance using the SharkPrint system. You have the option to save your scan in one of the following formats:
