NSU Bookstore
It is recommended whenever possible to either buy or rent your textbook or etextbook. Please visit the NSU Bookstore or this page for more information. The library does NOT actively collect textbooks although there is always a chance that we may have a copy of a textbook or etextbook that you need.

Other Options
Below is a list of several options to help you track down a specific book including textbooks if the NSU Libraries does not carry them. It should be noted though that all these options may come with limitations such as check out periods so whenever possible you will want to get a textbook copy of your own.
- SEFLIN CardNSU is part of SEFLIN. This organization makes it possible for members of certain SE Florida libraries to go to other libraries such as FAU, FIU, Broward College, BCL and others and check out books for a short period of time. You can get a SEFLIN card if you are a NSU student at the circulation desk in the library.
- Interlibrary LoanIf you are a NSU student and the library does not carry a specific book you want, you can make a request using Interlibrary Loan. This process will try and get a copy of a book for you. This does come with some limitations as there is no guarantee they can always get the book and if they do, it is usually for a set period of time. It should also be noted that requests can take between 5 and 15 business days.
- WorldCatThe WorldCat database is available through the Alvin Sherman Library's electronic resources. This database provides detailed bibliographic information and aids in locating other libraries with item holdings.
