"Mirrored Realities" invites you to explore the idea of reflection in both its literal and metaphorical forms.
This exhibition encourages you to think of reflection not just as a replication of the physical world, but as an interpretive process-one where art becomes a mirror to our experiences, emotions, and inner landscapes. Just as a mirror captures an image, artwork has the power to capture a perspective, revealing nuances of both the world outside and the realm within.
We view art as a dialogue between the creator and the viewer, a reflective process that brings to light hidden truths and offers new ways to see the world. In this context, artists act as mirrors, reflecting the beauty of nature, the intricacies of identity, and the spectrum of human experience.
This exhibition is a celebration of how art can both reflect and transform reality, offering new perspectives and deeper insights into the familiar and the unknown.
"Art is one expression of the human emotion. My paintings have two themes: Nostalgia and happy feelings use color, candy, and comics as well as toys as the vehicles for the expression of these feelings.
Photorealism is the technique, so anyone looking at my work understands the subject and can relate to it easily. The warm feelings of seeing a candy or toy usually evokes a smile. One does not have to be "taught" about the work in order to appreciate it. I am self-taught and always use photography in setting up the subject. " - Dr. Neil Koreman
