Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Florida Chapter

A diverse community of hardworking volunteers dedicated to making your dreams of becoming published authors and illustrators for kids and teens a reality. Through their Florida Regional Conference, held every January in Miami, their Mid-Year Workshop, held every June in Orlando, and lots of smaller events throughout the year and state, they put YOU in touch with top agents and editors in the children’s book industry.

South Florida Writers Association

SFWA provides tools for writers to succeed through its annual Mango Writers Conference, critique groups and writing contests. SFWA meetings feature presentations about writing, publishing, and marketing topics or  award-winning or best-selling authors, agents or publishers. All SFWA critique group meetings remain suspended due to COVID-19. Critique group members are encouraged to continue exchanging their works by email. South Florida Fiction Writers
