Clinical Psychology Directed Study Research

Conducting a systematic review as your directed study

The Directed Study, the capstone academic project in the PsyD program, can take on one of several forms (e.g., case study, treatment manual, or literature review). Historically, most directed studies have been literature reviews. In recent years, a more systematic and methodical approach to literature reviews has grown in popularity. These projects, known as systematic reviews, have several unique advantages (including more optimal critical integration of existing literature). The program is hoping that students wishing to conduct literature reviews for their directed studies will begin conducting systematic reviews. As such, in collaboration with colleagues in the library,  we have created this resource page for you.
