Near the top of the stairs is the NSU Glass Garden, a beautiful commissioned sculpture by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.

 

The Reference Desk is staffed by librarians ready to answer questions and help you use library resources for your research.

Reference Librarians can help you:

• Find books and e-books
• Use databases to find articles, dissertations, landmark studies, and instruments 
• Evaluate sources
• Use citation tools
• And more!

Reference Librarians also provide virtual assistance through "Ask a Librarian." Visit our website for the Reference Desk hours and contact information.

Behind the Reference Desk is an open computer area for anyone to use. Log on to the computers with your SharkLink ID, library card, or guest pass (available at the service desks).

Every July, currently enrolled NSU students receive print credits to "My NSU Print" accounts. To learn more about printing at NSU or to request a refund for printer errors, visit the SharkCard Services website.

To Print From Your Device:

1. Login to sharkprint.nova.edu.
2. Upload your document.
3. Head to a print station.
4. Swipe your SharkCard or library card (or enter your SharkLink ID); then click "Print" for each document you want to release.

Pro Tip:

• Please avoid printing double-sided color pages. (It will cause a printer paper jam.)
• You don't need your SharkCard to print!

Touch Screen Scanner:

The touch screen scanner near the Reference Desk allows you to scan and send your documents to your email, a flash drive, or to the cloud. It has both a flat lay scanning bed and a document feeder. 

The second floor is furnished with different chairs, tables, work pods, and seating areas so you can work comfortably. The partitioned tables and blue work pods have outlets built-in so you can easily charge your laptop and other devices.

Although the first and second floors are not designated quiet zones, please take all phone calls in the designated "Cell Phone Zone" in the hallways near the restrooms.

Copiers and vending machines are available on both the second and third floors.

The Copy Room has both black-and-white and color copiers that accept coins, or SharkCard funds, while the vending machines accept SharkCards, cash, and debit/credit cards.

The Craig and Barbara Weiner Holocaust Remembrance and Reflection Museum offers library users a place to learn and contemplate about the horrendous acts that result from intolerance and hate. 

Within the Holocaust Museum are computers to research and watch survivor testimonies, utilize a Holocaust encyclopedia, and research images
and films linked to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
in Washington, D.C., Yad Vashem, and other important memorials.

The Holocaust Museum contains original artifacts from concentration camps, several important images including research maps depicting the location of the major labor and extermination camps, examples of
Nazi propaganda, and other artifacts. Please note that the exhibits
on display contain highly sensitive and emotional information.

The Adolfo & Marisela Cotilla Gallery showcases a revolving display of exhibitions with a broad range of appeal and subject matter. It is intended for display of artworks, performance space, poetry readings, and other arts and cultural events.
