Course Description:

This 45-hour graduate-level course is Part II of a two-part series of ABA concepts and principles. Students will study the science of applied behavior analysis, the field of ABA, basic vocabulary and concepts in the field, and basic strategies for increasing and decreasing behaviors of students in a variety of settings. Specifically, this course will cover Unit B: Concepts and Principles from the BACB Fifth Edition task list.

Learning Outcomes:

1) Explain basic principles of applied behavior analysis: stimulus control, rule governed and contingency shaped behavior, and generalization and maintenance (BACB B- 4-5 & 9-15).

2) Illustrate fluency in the comprehension of concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis (BACB B-1-15).

3) Evaluate intervention strategies and programs using research in applied behavior analysis (BACB B-1-15).
