Basic guide to citing sources using Chicago Manual of Style guidelines.

About Chicago Style

The Chicago Manual of Style is a writing and citation style guide for American English. It covers grammar, language usage, and document preparation and formatting. It is frequently used in the humanities, including in business, history, fine arts, and political science.

Note: The Oceanographic Campus Library uses the Chicago Manual of Style: Author-Date Style as its default Citation Management Style. For a guide about that style, use the link below.

A quick video to familiarize yourself with the Chicago Manual of Style Online. It is remotely accessible for current NSU students and accessible while physically inside the library for other patrons.
