Library Ambassadors

Who are Library Ambassadors?

Do you love the library? Do you have ideas or feedback about library services? Join the library ambassadors! 

The Library Ambassadors Student Advisory Board represents the student voices of the Alvin Sherman Library. We promote library resources to fellow students and help shape the student experience at the library.

As library ambassadors, our mission is to:

  • Support library events and programs

  • Increase student knowledge and use of library resources

  • Provide student feedback regarding the enhancement of library services, spaces, and resources

All NSU students are welcome to join. For more information, contact the Reference Desk at refdesk@nova.edu.

Library Ambassador Requirements

  • No application or dues!

  • Attend 2-3 meetings per semester

  •  Our club activities include:

    • Creating library book displays

    • Helping plan or attend library events

    • Social media promotion

    • Usability testing

  • Do you have any suggestions for a library event, program, or workshop? Email our advisor, Lisa, with any ideas or feeback about what would be a fun library event at lellis1@nova.edu. All ideas are welcome!  

Volunteer Opportunities*

Library Ambassadors volunteer at library special events throughout the year. Opportunities include:

  • StoryFest

  • A Day For Children 

  • National Library Week

  • Summer Reading Kick-Off


*Note: Some library volunteer activities may qualify for community service hours.
