ORCID can be used as a bridge to import and export research output between Watermark's Faculty Success and Pure. You will need three things to utilize this bridge successfully:
The recommended workflow for this process is to utilize Pure's numerous integrations to automatically or semi-automatically import your publication data into your Pure profile and then export this output to Watermark via ORCID. This pathway reduces the amount of manual entry required to add your publication data to Watermark.
Log in to Pure at https://nova.elsevierpure.com/admin/login.xhtml with your nova.edu email address (Username) and your password (if you've forgotten it, please reset it. It is NOT part of the NSU Single Sign On).
To enable your research outputs export to your ORCID account, it is necessary to authenticate your ORCID number in Pure. On your personal overview screen, you will see 1 of 3 things next to your profile picture:

Click "Create or Connect your ORCID ID" and add your ORCID ID number. Follow the steps for "Authenticate Your ORCID" below...

Click "Authenticate your ORCID ID" A Pop-Up window will appear and ask you to authenticate by checking two boxes:

Check the two boxes and click "Proceed." You will be redirected to ORCID and will need to log in to ORCID to accept the authentication. Agree to the terms in ORCID to allow the Pure API to read/write data.

If you authenticated your ORCID number before July 2025, you may need to reauthenticate your ORCID to have it talk to the new API. Click "reauthenticate your ORCID." Follow the same instructions as above for authenticating the ORCID number.
