Dr. Terry Savage: Home

Terry Savage, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in the Department of Conflict Resolution Studies at Nova Southeastern University. After studies at the University of Cape Town and at the Maxwell School, Syracuse University, he began his career in South Africa’s vibrant non-profit sector with the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation. He has worked with the United Nations and with international civil society organizations in the African Great Lakes region, the Maghreb, Iraq, and Nepal, and has served as Reparations Policy Advisor with the UN’s Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. Dr Savage enjoys a continuing research affiliation with KU Leuven, where he is part of a team building an international encyclopedia on Restorative Justice.
