About ProQuest ETD

OVERVIEW:

  • ProQuest/UMI ETD Administrator is a no-fee web-based submission and management system which facilitates online publishing of dissertations and theses.  —It simplifies the submission process for students and graduate administrators alike by moving all steps online and eliminating the need to box and ship paper copies of each dissertation or thesis to ProQuest.
  • ProQuest will develop a unique custom built ETD Administrator site for each School/College/Center.
  • Thesis and Dissertations submitted to ProQuest are available through portals:
    • —ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Database (PQDT) (ASL subscription database).
    • —Citation/Abstracts may appear in some indexes (e.g. SciFinder, MathSciNet, PsycINFO, ERIC, ABI/INFORM, ChemAbstracts etc.).
  • PQDT publishes more than 80,000 graduate works annually.  85% of dissertations and theses submitted through online ETD Administrator.
  • Includes works by authors from more than 1,700 graduate schools. School list here: http://www.etdadmin.com/cgi-bin/main/schoolslist

  1. Students: The ETD Administrator allows graduate students to sign in and submit their completed dissertation or thesis to ProQuest for online publishing.  All works are reviewed by Department ETD Administrator before delivered to ProQuest/UMI.
  2. ETD Administrator:  Log on to system, reviews and manages submissions, communicates with students, sends copy to ProQuest, sends pre-publication version of work to NSU Works (NSU institutional repository)
