If you are looking for books that criticize a particular work or author, use the library catalog. In the advanced search, search the work or author via "Subject."

For example, if you were looking for criticism on J.D. Salinger, change the "keyword" search to a "subject" search and type his last name.

In the results, you may will see a subject listing for "criticism and interpretation." These are materials that will potentially have criticism or analysis of an author or work. As shown in the example below, there is a result subject specifically for "Salinger J D Jerome David 1919 2010 Criticism and Interpretation."
