Skin of Color Resources: Home

This guide offers books, databases, and other resources to help identify medical conditions on skin of color.

About this Guide

What is skin of color?

Skin of color is a term to identify individuals of racial and ethnic groups with similar cutaneous characteristics and disorders.

Why this guide?

People with skin of color are consistently underrepresented in medical education, resulting in a lack of clinician knowledge on how skin conditions may present on diverse patients. We hope this resource guide will provide a means to educate future medical professionals about diverse skin tones and how different diseases may present visually.
