There are 6 ways to contact a librarian for guidance using the library:

in person, by phone, email, text, chat, appointment

For one-on-one instruction with a librarian, consider making an appointment to discuss your research topic/assignment!  Appointments can be done in person, by phone, or online and may last up to 30 minutes.

How to Make an Appointment with a Librarian:

1) Use our online form. 2) Tell us your availability. 3) Request in advance.

  • On the request form, type your contact information and tell us a little about your research topic/assignment.
     
  • Appointments can be held in person at the Alvin Sherman Library, by phone, or online. More...
  • The more date/time options  that you provide, the quicker we can fulfill your request.
     
  • A librarian will email you a meeting time based on your preferences (so be sure to check your email for a response).
  • Requests must be made at least two business days* in advance.
     
  • One-on-one appointments with a librarian may last up to 30 minutes.
