The course covers evidence-based child and adolescent interventions, including how to select, implement, and individualize treatment based on the presenting problem(s) and how to monitor treatment progress and outcomes. Application of theory, methods, and current research in this area will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives:

1) Acquire a working knowledge of evidence-based child and adolescent interventions and their rationale and be able to select an appropriate treatment model based on the presenting problem(s)

2) To be able to articulate and implement specific intervention strategies and their steps

3) To be able to conceptualize the problem for a patient and individualize the treatment approach based on unique client characteristics

4) To be able to select appropriate child mental health assessments and use results to monitor treatment progress and outcomes
