There are six ways to ask a librarian for help using the Alvin Sherman Library:
Librarians CAN help students :
identify the components of a citation
look up examples on how to format each component using the APA Style manual
Librarians CANNOT:
create the citation for you
proofread/review your citations
1. Download the worksheet below:
2. Go to the PubMed database and search for two full text scholarly articles about things that can affect heart rate.
3. On the worksheet, write down the citation information for each article, then cite them using APA Style (7th edition).
4. Save your completed worksheet and follow your Lab Instructor's directions to upload it to the Assignments section of your BIOL 1500 Canvas course by the deadline in order to receive credit.
Note: Librarians are not permitted to proofread/review citations. However, they can help students locate citation templates and examples in the APA Style manual to help answer specific formatting questions.
Pro Tip: Using Microsoft 365 for class assignments will help ensure that your homework submissions in Canvas will properly open and function for your instructors to grade.
