October is National Information Literacy Awareness Month!
Clarivate Endnote
The responsible and ethical use of information is integral to scholarly communication; it is essential that students understand the importance of citing information properly. EndNote, a citation management software offered for free to NSU students, staff, and faculty, makes it easy for students and researchers to cite, share, and organize information. Check out our EndNote LibGuide for step-by-step instructions on getting started with EndNote. Still have questions? Contact a librarian for individualized assistance.
Credo InfoLit Core
Use Credo InfoLit Core to enhance information literacy and critical thinking abilities! This database features tutorials, quizzes, and videos and complies with all ADA requirements.
LibraryLearn
Use the LibraryLearn video collection to learn more about library resources and how to strengthen your research skills. Arranged by subject, this collection includes 1-5 minute video tutorials as well as recordings of workshops and events.
Reaxys
This month, NSU will be trialing a new database! Reaxys is a substance-driven chemistry database developed by chemists to serve researchers across multiple chemical disciplines including organic, analytical, inorganic, biochemistry, and physical. Reaxys extracts relevant property, preparation, and reaction data from chemical literature and patents to save you time when searching for this info. The Reaxys trial will begin on October 9th – please take some time to test out this resource and provide feedback on whether this would be useful to you and your students.
