Key resources for cases

Cases can be found in the following databases in our library collection:

ABI/Inform Global

Search tips:

  • On the home page there is a choice for “business” and “case study” under document type.
  • Do a search for “case studies” in the subject heading by selecting the appropriate value for the field from the Select a field box; you can combine it with another topic in the second search box, such as “human resources” or marketing, for example.

Business Source Premier

Search tips:

  • On the home page there is a choice for case study under document type – you can then use the filters on the left of the results page to select an industry, geography, company, etc.
  • Do a search for “case study” in the title, abstract or subject terms (by selecting the appropriate value for the field from the Select a field box); you can combine it with another topic in the second search box, such as “human resources” or marketing, for example.
  • MarketLine case studies can be found by doing a search for “Marketline case study” in the title combines with your topic placed in the second search box.

Ebook Central

Search tips:

  • Keyword search with “case studies” will retrieve a significant number of results. The subject filter on the left will help you focus your search on business case studies; there are a few entries related to business that you can choose from.

Emerald

Search tips:

  • Studies are peer reviewed. From Browse our content go to Case studies. View all case studies and click on the “only content I have access to” from the Show section on the right. Then make a choice of subject from the suggestions below.  
  • Another option is to select “Case studies” from advanced search and type in your topic of interest. From content type you can also select only open access material or “only content I have access to”.

Search tips:

  • You need to be logged in to access this content. Select “Business” from Section choices.

O’Reilly for Higher Education

Search tips:

  • A quick keyword search for “case studies” will results in a significant number of results. Use the topics filter to choose relevant titles for your field.

ProQuest Central

Search tips:

  • Select “Case study” under Document type, then do a search for your topic of interest.

SAGE Business Cases

Search tips:

  • The platform provides faculty, students, and researchers with unlimited access to move than 5,500 authoritative cases from over 120 countries. Subjects covered include entrepreneurship, accounting, healthcare management, leadership, social enterprise, and more. If you are faculty, please contact the library regarding access to teaching notes.

  • This is a video platform. From the Browse tab at the top, go to Business under Subjects. One of the subsections you will see on the page is Business Case Studies.
