This guide is a collection of resources that will help you with your industry research. You can look for ready made industry profiles or you can compile your own with information from a variety of sources.

  • See Websites and Acronyms section in reports for names of associations.

Search tips:

  • Use Advances search. Type in the keyword(s) representative of your industry, then in the Keywords field to the right scroll down to Associations – description.
  • If you are looking for associations within a particular NAICS code, type the code in the keyword field and scroll down to NAICS under Associations in the menu.

  • Encyclopedia of Associations: Regional, State and Local Organizations - associations and societies that are organized and function at the regional (both interstate and intrastate), state, county, city, neighborhood, and local levels.
  • Encyclopedia of Associations: National Organizations of the U.S. - American membership organizations of national scope. Covers more than 23,000 organizations.
  • Encyclopedia of Associations: International Organizations - includes U.S.-based organizations with a binational or multinational membership.
