Find It

If the full text article is not immediately available in the database, follow the steps on this page to search for the article. 

The Find It link will search for the journal, that contains the article, throughout the library's electronic & print resources

Step 1: The FindIt Button

Steps:

  1. In the database, click on the  link located next to the article citation. A new window will open with several links listed
  2. If there is a resource listed under "Resources Located for this Citation", click on it to access the journal and then locate the article. 
  3. If we do not have the electronic journal, click on the last option, ILLIAD to request the article from Interlibrary Loan (see last screenshot below)

Tips:

  • If there is more than one resource listed, try multiple ones if necessary.
  • If the link does not open directly to the article, it may open to the "homepage" of the journal. Look for a search box to enter the article title & search, or look for a list of volumes/issues to browse

Step 2: Search the Journal Finder for Electronic Journals

I. Search

 

 From the  results page for your selected article, click on Journal Finder option 

Interlibrary Loan

If we do not have an electronic subscription to the journal. Follow these steps.

  

  1. On the results screen, click on Order this item through ILLiad
  2. Log in with your Nova ID & password
  3. On the first dropdown box, select if you are local or distance
  4. The other required fields should already be completed
  5. Click on Submit Request
  6. If ILL is able to obtain the article, you will receive an email with a link to your ILLiad account.
  7. Log in and click on Electronically Received Articles to view the article (left side of screen)
