BMJ Case Report

The Library has an institutional fellowship with BMJ Case Reports which allows faculty, staff, affiliates and students at Nova Southeastern University to submit case reports without paying an individual fellowship fee.  Contact an HPD Librarian to get our fellowship code, when you are ready to publish.

BMJ Case Reports accepts cases in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical specialties, so there are opportunities for students, staff and faculty in medicine, nursing and public health. A full list of BMJ Case Reports' specialties can be viewed on their Specialty page.

BMJ Case Reports makes it easy to submit cases by providing templates for full cases, "Images in" cases and global health cases. These templates can be accessed, along with additional guidelines for writing, on the Instructions for Authors page. Follow these simple steps to submit your cases to BMJ Case Reports.

Journals Publishing Student Work

Here you’ll find a list of peer-reviewed journals and online publications that publish student work on a variety of topics, including quality improvement. We started with student-run journals, which offer the best chance of publication, and continue with second-tier and top-tier journals, which accept only a fraction of the articles submitted for publication.

The best way to get to know a journal is to read several recent issues, ideally a print version where you can see the entire issue. It’s also useful to look at the online version, but keep in mind that online versions may only have selected pieces of content and may delay online publication of print content for six months.
